Montessori Inspired

Free Educational Resources (primary level)

Children bored at school (level too easy) or frustrated (level too hard)? Assessment provided – get children engaged (use a level just right).

  • Confidence & self-esteem

Children's mental health can get damaged by doing work at the wrong level. They can get labelled ‘thick’ or ‘a trouble-maker’.

I believe that children are born to learn and thrive with work at the right level.

  • Montessori-inspired

Maria Montessori said: ‘The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say - the children are now working as if I did not exist’.

To me this means, create the right environment and children will naturally learn.

FAQs

Have a question? We've listed the top questions we get asked to help you! If you have any further questions, please get in touch.

  • Are these resources really free?

Yes they are free for all individuals - children, parents, teachers - to use for education purposes. They are not free to use for any commercial purposes or for financial gain (see terms & conditions for use of the website).

  • Do you provide tuition sessions?

Yes, I offer 1‑to‑1 online sessions via Zoom. Each session lasts 45 minutes and can be booked as a one‑off. They’re designed to support assessment, help with topics a child is finding challenging, or introduce new material to stretch and extend their learning.

  • How can I contact you?

There is a contact form on the website where you can message me.

  • Do you provide resources for other subjects?

At the moment I don't but I would like to produce resources for other subjects in the future

  • What's your experience?

I’ve been an educator for over 30 years and have worked with children in a wide range of roles. You can learn more about my background on the 'About' page.

  • How do you assess a child?

I’ll start by asking which area you’d like to focus on and what you already know about your child’s current level. From there, we’ll arrange a Zoom session where I work directly with your child. During the session, I’ll explore what they can confidently do and where they may need support, which helps me identify the most appropriate starting point for the topic.

  • Which resources should my child use first?

If you already know which topic you’d like to explore, choose a worksheet that feels like a reasonable starting point and let your child give it a try. If they complete it confidently, move on to the next one. If it seems too challenging, simply step back to an earlier worksheet to strengthen the foundations before progressing again. If you’re not sure which topic to begin with, start with the first category in English or maths and work your way through from there.

  • Are the resources useful for secondary school children?

Yes, they can be used by anyone who lacks confidence in their maths or English.
