Length, perimeter & area

• Length means how long something is but sometimes we use different words for it

• Length is used for the side that looks or feels the longest

• Width is used for the side that goes across and is usually shorter than the length

• Depth is used for how far something goes back or down

• Perimeter is the distance all the way around a shape

• Area means how much space a flat shape takes up
