- Grammar defines the purpose of prepositions and shows how they work in sentences
- Prepositions are words that link nouns or pronouns to other words in a sentence
- They help to show where a noun is located - The owl is in between the boxes.
- Or the direction in which a noun is going – Jim walked towards the park.
- Or the time at which a noun does something - Nita reads books in the morning
- Prepositional verbs are verbs which are followed by a preposition linked to a noun - She listened to the teacher.
