First phonetic sounds a-z

  • If a word is phonetic it means the word can be sounded out using the phonetic sounds of individual letters
  • The alphabet consists of 26 letters: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, I, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z
  • Vowels are the 5 letters a, e, i, o, u
  • Consonants are all the letters of the alphabet that are not vowels: b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z
