• If a word is phonetic it means the word can be sounded out using the phonetic sounds of individual letters

• First phonetic words with vowel ‘a’ can be used alongside first phonetic words with vowels ‘e’, ‘i’, ‘o’ and ‘u’ and the first tricky words.
