  • This resource pack of 5 pages covers hearing, reading, spelling and using words with blends: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gl, gr, pl, pr, sc, sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, tr

  • The blend is highlighted in brown and is made from the blended phonetic sounds of the two letters

  • Many children will find it difficult to do all the blends at once - for most children it will be better to do one blend at a time

A little more info...

  • Consonants are all the letters of the alphabet that are not vowels: b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z

  • If a word is phonetic it means the word can be sounded out using the phonetic sound of individual letters and blends

  • Every word in this activity is a real English word
